Tomcat 5.5 & Resin Rough Performance Comparison
Here's a rough performance test between Tomcat and Resin.The test was run on the same machine and with the same maximum memory of 256M.
The Test Command:
ab -c 2000 -n 10000 http://192.168.21.178:8080/bench/bench.jsp
the size of bench.jsp is 32.6k and there is the image of size 48.4k.
With the result, we can come to such conclusion:
1) Resin serves 80% of the requests in 6 to 8.8 secs while tomcat in 9.6
2) Resin Pro serves 90% of the requests in 13 secs and Resin OS in 20 secs
3) Tomcat serves 90% of the requests in 21 secs
4) Tomcat's failed request is 25 times of Resin Pro and 10 times of Resin OS
Which is quite astonishing
5) The Requests per second between Tomcat and Resin OS are almost the same.
while Resin Pro serves 17% more than Tomcat
