加入环境变量export TOMCAT_HOME=/home/user/apache-tomcat-5.5.23
激活ROOT
ROOT的缺省设置是没有激活(disabled)．为了激活ROOT，打开文件
apache-tomcat-5.5.23/conf/server.xml
然后把

的注释去掉，即去掉<!--和-->．
<!-- -->三．<!-- -->上传ifxjdbc.jar和ifxjdbcx.jar到apache-tomcat-5.5.23/common/lib下
<!-- -->四．<!-- -->配置好环境变量以后你试试在浏览器中敲入: http://ip:8080/（ip为tomcat服务器的ip地址）出现Tomcat的主页面，则tomcat安装成功。
应用程序的安装：
修改配置文件tomcat/conf/server.xml
加入应用程序的项目名称
把context_informix_tomcat5.xml中的内容加入到server.xml
注意把docBase="D:\crm\web"的路径改为docBase="crm"
在/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/webapps/目录下建立目录crm，将文件crm.war解压到该目录下。
jarxvf crm.war

tomcat的启动
一．用root用户登录
二．cd /home/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/bin/
三．执行 ./startup.sh，正常情况可以看到

UsingCATALINA_HOME: /home/user/apache-tomcat-5.5.23
UsingCATALINA_TMPDIR: /home/user/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/temp
UsingJRE_HOME: /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_11
四．执行 ./shutdown.sh，即停掉tomcat。
补充：设置Tomcat内存，在$TOMCAT/bin/Catalina.sh文件中的加入
JAVA_OPTS='-Xms400m –Xmx800m'就可以了。
